Jennifer was first introduced to yoga 7 years ago after many years and countless miles spent running. While running has always been a passion, the mind/body balance that yoga offers has been a refreshing change. Like many runners, Jen was skeptical about yoga and the slower pace. Through exploring different types of movement, we can all find what fits our bodies and lives. Today, Jen is a firm believer that disciplines like yoga and pilates are awesome complimentary practices for runners!
Along with running, pilates, yoga and tennis, Jen loves helping coach Girls Cross Country at Prairie High School. As the mother of teenage twins, Baxter and Ayva. Jen is also a professional spectator of high school football, basketball, tennis, baseball and track. In addition, she is the worst paid Uber driver in Iowa…exclusively to these teenagers. Jen and her husband of 20 years, Steve, are also proud parents of a college freshman and super excited to have him beginning his college career at Coe College.
Jen completed her training to teach mat pilates in January 2017 and is enjoying sharing her love of the discipline with our students/friends at Heat Yoga. Jen is looking forward to expanding her training to include reformer and barre in the future!
